The Mississippi delta native isolate of Beauveria bassiana, strain NI8, was evaluated in the field to determine the effect of solar radiation on the pathogenicity and infectivity against tarnished plant bug (TPB), Lygus lineolaris (Palisot de Beauvois). Estimates of LC50 (Proc Probit, SAS) values for mortality and infection in TPB on cotton plants over solar exposure time were analyzed.
