The pyramided-trait, Agrisure Duracade™ seed blend EZ refuge hybrid maize product developed by Syngenta Seeds, Inc. through conventional breeding contains the plant incorporated protectants (PIP) expressed in Events MIR604 maize, and 5307.maize are highly active against the larvae of two economically important coleopteran pests of maize, the western corn rootworm (WCRW) Diabrotica virgifera virgifera and the northern corn rootworm (NCRW) D. barberi.
