Revisionary study is a crucial part of the job of any taxonomist. Taxonomic revisions especially those in large groups are challenging and require efficient management of large amount of nomenclatural, morphological, bibliographic, distributional data. Cybertaxonomy is a new direction of the development of biological science. Using technological advances, like relational database, digital imaging, Internet dissemination, and even on-line collaboration, it provides a new model for doing research. The 3i software package provides researchers with essential tools which intended to increase both the quality and quantity of such studies and visibility of the project over the Internet.
