ABSTRACT: Information on the insect pollinators of Piperaceae is minimal based on current published data. Of the five genera of Piperaceae, pollination studies have mainly focused on the more abundant genera, Peperomia and Piper, located in Central and South America. The intent of this study was to identify the insect pollinators of Piper glabrescens and P. umbellatum occurring in the Rio Abajo Forest Preserve in Puerto Rico.
