Over the last six years the sugarcane beetle, Euetheola humilis rugiceps, has become a major problem in field corn in the hill region of Mississippi and the southeastern United States.This paper will discuss the effects of sugarcane beetles in field corn and the research that is being conducted to develop management options for control of the sugarcane beetle in field corn.
