A series of novel feeding deterrents for the brown marmorated stink bug (Halyomorpha halys) has been developed. These molecules are based on naturally occurring chemicals produced by plants, and which are closely related to common flavor or fragrance ingredients. They have low toxicity, low odor profiles, and low volatility, making them a desirable method of control.
