L-Aspartate maintains its feeding stimulatory properties toward codling moth neonates in presence of several insecticides commonly used in apple protection against this insect. In laboratory assays, mortality from insecticides mixed with L-Aspartate is higher that from the same insecticides alone. The results of 3 years of field experiments show that infestation of apples by codling moth is reduced when L-Aspartate is tank mixed with insecticide formulations.
