A multi-disciplinary, multi-state research program focusing primarily on Lepidopterous stem borers (sugarcane borer and Mexican rice borer) is being developed on conventional and bioenergy field crops. Emphasizing host plant population dynamics, the system orients to areas currently dominated by the conventional sugarcane and rice commodities.
