BugGuide.net is a hive of activity for citizens, scientists, and citizen scientists. It offers a place where individual contributions add to the value of the whole. Incoming photographic submissions are identified and classified by volunteer editors creating a guide to North American insects that currently comprises over 36,000 pages.
