The Entiminae or broad-nosed weevils are one of the most diverse subfamilies of weevils, with approximately 1150 genera and 12,200 species described worldwide. The larvae are typically root feeders whereas the adults feed on the leaves of a variety of host plants. Presently 50 genera and 254 species are reported for Colombia, among which Compsus Schoenherr is the most diverse with 44 reported species; however the Colombian entimines are in great need of systematic revision. Here we review the morphological characteristics of 370 adult Entiminae specimens housed at the Museum of Entomology at the Universidad del Valle (collection coden: MUSENUV). A total of 15 genera are treated, mainly from the tribe Entimini, subtribes Eustylina, Naupactina, and the genus Pandeleteius Schoenherr. A generic key for these taxa is presented, along with illustrations of important diagnostic features.
