Various habitats in eastern South Dakota were surveyed for ladybird beetles (Coleoptera: Coccinellidae). Two exotic ladybird beetles,
Coccinella septempunctata and
Harmonia axyridis, were found in all habitats. A native species,
Psyllobora vigintimaculata, was prominent in pine. Three native species, previously common in the region, were not sampled. Similarity in the coccinellid fauna is compared among habitats.
