Great Smokies ATBI (All Taxa Biodiversity Inventory): Lepidopteran report

David Wagner, david.wagner@uconn.edu, University of Connecticut, Ecology & Evolutionary Biology, U-Box 43, Storrs, CT

The survey is nearly complete for all but a few microlepidopteran families and the effort is shifting to studies of immatures, DNA barcoding, and collecting georeferenced occurrence data. The fauna is compared to that of other eastern sites. Faunal highlights include a number of endemics and many boreal disjuncts.

Keywords: ATBI, DNA barcoding
