Developmental expression and cellular localization of a 56 kDa neuropeptide in dipteran species

Developmental expression and cellular localization of a 56 kDa neuropeptide (p56) in the housefly Musca domestica and several other flies were investigated using Western blot and immunocytochemistry. The data were compared among the studied species and the potential role of the p56 was discussed.
