A comparison of Circulifer tenellus, beet leafhopper (BLH) populations in New Mexico to that of California will be done by investigating the aspects that constitutes organisms as being the same species. Some of these aspects are genetic representations, such as PCR, morphology, distribution, physiology, life history, behavior and reproductive capabilities. The similarities and differences concluded from testing these aspects will lead to the belief that these leafhoppers are of the same species, but their uncharacteristic differences deem them as different biotypes.
Species 1: Hemiptera Cicadellidae
