A preliminary analysis of the North American socially parasitic Lasius (Hymenoptera: Formicidae; Formicinae, Lasiini), formerly Acanthomyops

A preliminary analysis of Acanthomyops, the North American socially parasitic subgenus of Lasius is presented. Results of field and laboratory studies of Acanthomyops founding stage are reported.
