A survey for Russian wheat aphid (RWA) biotypes was conducted in winter wheat fields throughout Colorado's wheat growing counties during the spring and summer of 2004 and 2005. One objective was to compare the frequency of occurence of Biotypes RWA-1 (Dn4 avirulent) and RWA-2 (Dn4 virulent) in Colorado winter wheat production fields. Our other objective was to determine if additional biotypes could be found on winter wheat in Colorado.
