FMC Specialty Products Business is evaluating a new, novel, neonicotinoid for the control of general household pests. F5025 in various formulations has shown activity against a range of pests in the lab and field. As a residual surface spray, activity has been demonstrated against cockroaches, ants, springtails, and house flies. It is effective when formulated into a bait for roaches, ants, wasps, and flies. It also has shown potential as a fire ant mound treatment. Efficacy data generated from lab and field trials will be presented and discussed.

Species 1: Hymentoptera Formicidae Solenopsis invicta (red imported fire ant)
Species 2: Blattella Blattellidae Blattella germanica (German cockroach)
Keywords: cockroach bait, ant mound
