Predatory insects and spiders from hemlock branches infested with hemlock woolly adelgids

While mass rearing Sasajiscymnus tsugae, a biological control agent for the hemlock woolly adelgid (HWA), Adelges tsugae, a number of predaceous insects and spiders were collected and identified from the HWA infested hemlock branches. This poster presents pictures of many of the predatory insects and spiders collected from within the rearing boxes.

Species 2: Coleoptera Coccinellidae Susajiscymnus tsugae
Species 3: Coleoptera Coccinellidae Harmonia axyridis (multicolored Asian lady beetle)
