Collections of Beauveria bassiana isolates from Lygus spp. populations in the Mississippi Delta and San Joaquin Valley of California were evaluated for characteristics relevant to field efficacy and mycoinsecticide development. Evaluation criteria included; pathogenicity to L. lineolaris and L. hesperus , impact on beneficial insects, spore production, mycotoxin production, survival under solar radiation, and temperature tolerance. Based on these criteria one isolate from each collection was selected for field trials. Results of field test conducted in July, 2004 against populations in wild host plants will be presented.
Species 1: Heteroptera Miridae
Lygus lineolaris (tarnished plant bug)
Species 2: Hyphomycetes Moniliaceae
Beauveria bassiana (white-muscardine fungus)
Keywords: microbial biocontrol, area wide management

Sir,
One of our student would like to have the paper: Control of lygus lineolaris... Is it publish? Is it possible to have it? At what cost?
Thank you in advance for your collaboration.
