Monsanto Company has developed a computer based YieldGard Insect Resistance Management (IRM) educational module for use by growers, extension agents, consultants, seed dealers and other industry professionals. This module is a flexible tool that allows users to quickly access specific IRM information about YieldGard Corn Borer, YieldGard Rootworm, or YieldGard Plus insect protected corn products with the click of a mouse.

The module is organized in a web-like system that includes:

1. Definition - The definition section explains what a refuge is and what specific insect resistance management requirements pertain to each of the YieldGard technologies.

2. Refuge Calculator - A useful tool that helps users to determine their refuge acreage for the selected YieldGard technology.

3. Refuge Requirements & Planting Configurations - This section lets the users select the region where they will be planting YieldGard technologies and outlines the size and distance requirements particular to their growing region. This section also contains refuge planting configuration information for the YieldGard technology planted in that field.

4. IRM Approach - This section provides additional information to help the growers in complying with IRM requirements.
