A. vaquitarumis a gregarious ectoparasitoid, depositing 2-48 eggs per egg mass of D.abbreviatus(n=7-91 eggs/egg mass). The larvae of the parasitoid, 'preys' upon the host eggs causing 60-100% mortality to D. abbreviatus eggs. A. vaquitarum has become established since the year of its release in southern Florida.
