Pepper is an important crop in the State of San Luis Potosi (and many other states in Mexico). Common pests are whiteflies Bemisia tabaci complex, leafminer Liriomyza sativae Blanchard, psyllid Paratrioza cockerelli Sulc, and the pepper weevil Anthonomus eugenii Cano. Natural enemies (and other insects) are present in the crop through the year. The objective of this work was to collect Hymenoptera present in pepper crops in some localities of San Luis Potosi, Mexico. Insects were collected over the foliage with nets and determined in the Insects Museum of UAT, in Cd. Victoria, Tam. Members of 6 families (Ichneumonidae, Braconidae, Vespidae, Mutillidae, Proctotrupidae and Pteromalidae), 23 genera and 27 species were obtained. Ichneumonidae was the family more represented (Ichneumoninae: Limonethe sp., Eutanyacra sp., Carinodes sp.; Tryphoninae: Netelia spp.; Cryptinae: Compsocryptus xanthostigma Brullé, Lanugo hebetis Cameron, Gelini sp.; Campopleginae: Casinaria sp., Diadegma sp.; Pimplinae: Zaglyptus sp., Pimpla punicipes Cresson; Mesochorinae: Mesochorus sp.; Orthocentrinae: Stenomacrus sp., Leipaulus sp. and Neurateles sp.).
