Resistance to OP and carbamate insecticides in the Oriental fruit moth was identified in 1993-1994 and to pyrethroids in 1995. OP resistance was associated with reduced inhibition of ACHE and elevated levels of esterase. A resistance management program introduced in 1995 has been in continuous use for 9 years and has impacted the frequencies of both resistances. We report here on the current status of both OP and pyrethroid resistance in these populations and on the potential fit of new products into this program.

Species 1: Lepidoptera Tortricidae Grapholita molesta (Oriental Fruit Moth)
Keywords: organophosphate resistance, pyrethroid resistance
