An update on the progress of stored grain insect management conducted by the Univerisity of Tennessee and University of Kentucky will be presented. Additional funds have been acquired by a grant from the Southern Region IPM Grants Program to purchase equipment and materials and continue the study of insect problems and management of on farm storage bins. New pesticides to control insects in grain will be used in grains stored by producers in each state. Better methods of aerating grain will be used to determine if a combination of these proceedures can benefit producers by reducing insect pests and other grain storage problems.
