The distribution of Ptilomerinae (Heteroptera: Gerridae) in Thailand

Akekawat Vitheepradit and Robert W. Sites. University of Missouri-Columbia, Department of Entomology, 1-87 Agriculture Bldg, Columbia, MO

Members of the subfamily Ptilomerinae are common inhabitants of lotic habitats in Thailand and throughout Southeast Asia. Extensive distributional data are given for the seven species representing four genera previously recorded from Thailand, and for two additional species reported from Thailand for the first time. Further, an undescribed species of Ptilomera was recently discovered from Kanchanaburi Province. Ecological, biological, distributional, and taxonomic information on this subfamily in Thailand are presented here.

Species 1: Heteroptera Gerridae Ptilomera
