Rebecca H. Hallett, Environmental Biology, University of Guelph, Environmental Biology, Bovey Building, Guelph, ON, Canada

Field studies were conducted in 2001 & 2002 to examine susceptibility of various crucifers to damage by the swede midge in Ontario, Canada. Significant differences in damage ratings were seen between varieties examined. Differences will be discussed in relation to soil type and pest and plant phenology.
