Host-finding in Culex quinquefasciatus: behavioral bioassays using host odors

Host-seeking behavior of the southern house mosquito, Culex quinquefasciatus (Diptera: Culicidae), was examined. Females released in a dual choice olfactometer responded to novel host odors in the absence of carbon dioxide.
