Patterns of plum curculio penetration into apple orchards

Jaime Pinero and Ron Prokopy. University of Massachusetts, Entomology, 270 Stockbridge Road, Amherst, MA

We determined both the degree of early-season orchard penetration by overwintered plum curculios using Circle traps and the extent of PC overwintering according to orchard characteristics using emergence traps.

Species 1: Coleoptera Curculionidae Conotrachelus nenuphar (plum curculio)
Keywords: orchard penetration, emergence traps
