A choice feeding test was conducted to determine the feeding preferences of Reticulitermes flavipes (Kollar) using 9 sugars, 9 amino acids, urea and uric acid. Termites consumed significantly more paper treated with some of the amino acids and sugars than paper treated with water. Significantly less of the paper treated with uric acid was consumed by termites than paper treated with water.

Species 1: Isoptera Rhinotermitidae Reticulitermes flavipes (Eastern Subterranean Termite)
