Saline habitat in Missouri was searched during the summers of 2001 and 2002 for the saline spring tiger beetle, Cicindela circumpicta johnsoni. The beetle was observed in one of the four known localities and at one new site. Where C. c. johnsoni was encountered few individauls were observed. Furthermore, the condition of many of the sites appeared sufficiently altered as to exclude C. c. johnsoni.
