Eugnamptine weevils of La Selva, Costa Rica

Twelve species of eugnamptine weevils(Coleoptera: Rhynchitidae) are recorded from the La Selva biological station in northeastern Costa Rica. They include eleven species of EugnamptusSchoenherr and one species of Hemilypus Sharp. Eight of the eleven species of Eugnamptus are new species. The larva of one of the eleven is now known to be a full depth blotch leaf miner. Adult digital habitus images, aedeagal illustrations, La Selva distributions, collection methods and available host plant associations will be presented.
