Ichneumonidae is one of the families of Insecta best represented in México: 912 species are recorded recently. Its species are beneficial wasps, attacking mainly Lepidoptera, Coleoptera and Diptera. The objective of this work was to know the identity of the ichneumonids present in northeastern México, collecting in different ecosystems, and determining the genera and species deposited in the Insects Museum of UAT in Victoria City, Tamaulipas. Now, we have recorded 257 genera (4 new) and 721 morphospecies, including 289 identified to species level (32% of the total for the Mexican Republic). The best represented genera are Cryptanura (20 species), Diapetimorpha (16 species), Eiphosoma (18 species), Enicospilus (16 species), Eudeleboea (11 species), Exochus (15 species), Ischnus (11 species), Lymeon (11 species), Neotheronia (12 species), Pimpla (11 species), Polycyrtus (11 species) and Scambus (12 species). Tamaulipas is the State with more taxonomic work in northeastern Mexico. This is a contribution to the knowledge of the Mexican beneficial insects.
