Systematics of the Tenuipalpidae (Acari: Tetranychoidea)

Ethan C. Kane, Department of Entomology, University of Maryland, Department of Entomology, Plant Sciences Building, College Park, MD

The Tenuipalpidae is a well defined monophyletic group, however the phylogenetic relationships between the genera in this family have been difficult to discern. A suite of maximum parsimony and maximum likelihood analyses, including bayesian methods, were performed on a morphological dataset in an attempt to establish a well supported phylogeny for this important group of phytophagous mites.

Species 1: Acari Tenuipalpidae (Flat Mites)
Keywords: Phylogeny, Morphology
