Biology and descriptions of immature stages of Probole (Lepidoptera: Geometridae)

Timothy J. Tomon, Entomology, Pennsylvania State University, Entomology, 501 Ag Sciences & Industries Building, University Park, PA

The biology and life history of geometrids of the genus Probole were studied in central Pennsylvania during the summer of 2002. They were reared from egg to adult under controlled laboratory conditions. This genus is common throughout much of North America, and is known to feed on a wide variety of tree species. I report the life history and descriptions of immature life stages of Probole species in central Pennsylvania.

Species 1: Lepidoptera Geometridae Probole (dogwood Probole, heath Probole)
Keywords: immature
