Junwei Zhu, Kye Chung Park, John J. Obrycki, and Thomas C. Baker. Iowa State University, Entomology, 528 Science II, Ames, IA

This presentation will report our recent findings on chemical ecological interactions of soybean aphids, Aphis glycines, and its summer host plant, Glycine max, as well as other associated semiochemicals affect on predators and parasitoids of soybean aphids. Sex pheromones of soybean aphids have also been investigated and its potential for eliminating the overwintering population will be discussed.

Species 1: Homoptera Aphididae Aphis glycines (soybean aphid)
Species 2: Coleoptera Coccinellidae Coccinella septempunctata (seven-spotted lady beetle)
Species 3: Hymenoptera phidiinae Lysiphlebus testaceipes
Keywords: semiochemicals
