Area wide subterranean termite, Reticulitermes santonenesis, management in Santiago, Chile has reduced noticeable termite activity

Since July of 2002 subterranean termite populations have been fed hexaflumuron baits, and activity in treated sectors has decreased considerably. The project funded, in part,by the Chilean government and private business is demonstrating protocols for area wide termite management.
