Sweetpotato weevil eradication in Texas

Sweetpotato weevils were detected in the weevil-free areas of Texas approximately three years ago. The Texas Department of Agriculture in cooperation with the State's sweet potato industry and the Texas Agricultural Extension Service initiated an aggressive eradication program. The eradication is almost complete. Results of this success story will be presented.
