Forest fires, insects, and tree mortality at Myakka River State Park, Florida, 2000-2001

I will report and discuss the tree mortality and insects observed during the first two years of a long-term project to assess the tradeoffs of using mechanical treatments to mimic fire in fire-prone forest ecosystems.
