False spider mites Brevipalpus species (Acari: Tenuipalpidae) are serious pests on Texas citrus. Galendromus helveolus is one of the prevalent predaceous mite found on Texas citrus. The predation of G. helveolus on B.californicus was observed in laboratory. The preliminary results showed that the immature life stages (eggs, larvae and nymphs) of the prey were favored by the predator. The larvae of B. californicus caused greater longevity and fecundity of G. heveolus. The susceptibility of G. heveolus to some commonly used miticides and insecticides was also evaluated.
