John J. Adamczyk, Southern Insect Management Research Unit, USDA-ARS, Southern Insect Management Research Unit, P. O. Box 346, Stoneville, MS

An experimental transgenic Bt cotton cultivar "NuPEARL" was evaluated in the Mississippi Delta for efficacy against a multitude of lepidopteran pests. This cultivar appears to have higher Cry1Ac expression than normal Bt cotton cultivars. Correlations among efficacy and expression of Cry1Ac will be discussed

Species 1: Lepidoptera Noctuidae Spodoptera exigua (beet armyworm)
Species 2: Lepidoptera Noctuidae Spodoptera frugiperda (fall armyworm)
Species 3: Lepidoptera Noctuidae Helicoverpa zea (bollworm, corn earworm)
Keywords: Cry1Ac, expression
