The effect of different dosages of Apistan (0.5, 1 and 2 stripes)/colony was studied. The stripes were new, used once and twice before. The results recommend Apistan application for two seasons under Egyptian circumstances. The used dosages have no effect on the first hybrid Carniolan honeybee (Apis mellifera carnica) worker longevity. The residues of fluvalinate were higher in beeswax than in honey. However, the Apistan residues were under the limits of EPA.

Species 1: Parasitiformes Varroidae Varroa jacobsoni (Varroa)
