Little is known about seasonally ponded isolated wetlands (SPIW's) of the southeastern United States. Because SPIW's lack large fish they are thought to be important depositories of insect diversity. We conducted a bio-inventory of the top insect predators found in four SPIW's in Grand Bay Savanna AL, and the surrounding areas. Sampling was conducted bi-weekly at each site during the wetted phase. In addition, the spatial and temporal dynamics of this guild was examined using both multivariate and Monte Carlo statistical methodologies. Sixteen families and three orders were collected. Details of species phenologies and spatial distributions will be presented.

Species 1: Coleoptera
Species 2: Hemiptera
Species 3: Odonata
Keywords: Lentic, Temporary
