Reversing insect adaptation to transgenic insecticidal plants

Despite sustained use of Bt cotton for control of the pink bollworm in Arizona, the frequency of pink bollworm resistance to Bt cotton decreased from 1997 to 2000. We discuss the conditions that may have led to such a decline.
