Sulfoxaflor is the first member of the novel sulfoximine class of insecticides to be developed for pest management. It controls insects via a unique interaction with the insect nicotinic acetylcholine receptor and has a broad lack of cross-resistance to other insecticides. Field trials have demonstrated excellent control of many sap-feeding insects such as aphids, plantbugs, planthoppers, scales and whiteflies. This poster will summarize global field efficacy, cross-resistance and mode of action work on sulfoxaflor.
