Survival and development of oriental beetle (OB) larvae was assessed on several woody plant species. Blueberry, birch, kousa dogwood, flowering dogwood, and red maple were infested with OB eggs and development rate and survival were determined. Roots of each species were analyzed for compounds that might be induced by larval root feeding.
