Chalcidoidea (Hymenoptera) are a group of minute wasps with 19 families and more than 85 subfamilies. A molecular phylogeny of the groups is proposed using 18S and 28S ribosomal genes for 492 taxa. Molecular structure may be just as important as sequence divergence for determining relationships.
