Geographical distribution of Melittobia species (Hymenoptera: Eulophidae)

Robert W. Matthews and Jorge M. Gonzalez. University of Georgia, Department of Entomology, 413 BioScience, Athens, GA

Melittobia is a cosmopolitan genus of parasitoids. 14 species had been described in the genus, and 8 of them had been found in the U.S. The aim of this research is to determine geographical distribution of all species, with emphasis on those present in this country, based on thorough collections in the continental U.S. and information gathered from the literature and museum specimens. Comments on the biogeographical significance of the genus and possible dispersal patterns are postulated.

Species 1: Hymenoptera Eulophidae Melittobia
