Notes on Zagloba beaumonti Casey, predator of diaspidids

Zagloba is registered to the Neotropical region. The species are recorded from Venezuela and north of Colombia to Oregon and Pennsylvania (United States of America). Z. beaumonti has been recorded from Honduras, Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Brazil, Paraguay, Costa Rica and Mexico. The hosts of Z. beaumonti are Lepidosaphes beckii Newmann, Lepidosaphes gloveri Packard and Unaspis citri (Comstock) (Homoptera: Diaspididae), some of the main citrus pests. Some data about the predation of Z. beaumonti on U. citri will be shown.
