A website, www.pestalert.org, has been developed to provide information about plant pest developments threatening our agriculture and ecosystems. The North American Plant Protection Organization's (NAPPO) Phytosanitary Alert System contains alerts about significant and emerging pest situations posing danger to our continent. The alerts were designed to help focus detection efforts at ports of entry, as well as provide useful images and resource links of interest to the entire plant protection community. The website contains detailed alerts and news summaries, and encompasses arthropods, pathogens, weeds and mollusks, as well as unique pathways for entry.
