Modeling population dynamics of grape berry moth

Grape berry moth, Endopiza viteana (Clemens) (Lepidoptera: Tortricidae), is native to North America where it is distributed in the U.S. east of the Mississippi River and in the Niagara region of Canada. It exploits both wild and cultivated grapes, and can be a serious pest in commercial vineyards. Using data from pheromone trap catches, diapause initiation and termination studies, and field egg-to-adult development, we have developed a comprehensive population dynamics model to improve management practices.
